Indian Head Massage
In India for thousands of years families have traditionally used head massage using the ancient ‘Ayurveda’ method that incorporates ‘mind, body and spirit’.
It is used in many barbers to assist with healthy hair growth and relaxation and was brought to the western world in the 1970’s. It was then adapted to incorporate western massage techniques, as well as extending to include the upper back, neck (our main areas of tension) and pressure points/stroking on the face.
There are many physical benefits of having regular sessions of Indian Head Massage including:
Reduced stress, improved hair condition, an increase in energy levels and more efficient removal of toxins as it stimulates circulation and the lymphatic system.
As you can see, even though the ‘work’ is only done on the upper body, it’s beneficial for the whole body!
As a precaution, any treatment will begin with a full consultation to see if Indian Head Massage is suitable, as certain pre-existing medical conditions may mean this therapy isn’t right for you.
Occasionally, your GP’s permission may be needed prior to any treatment commencing, but this will all be discussed on your first visit.

TestimonialsDon't just take our word for it, see what some of our clients have to say:
Floating...."is the best way that I can describe the feeling after an Indian Head Massage. You can feel the stress melting away and replaced by a sense of calmness. After a stressful week at work it is a great way to set yourself for a relaxed weekend. "
